| OK, so I've been slacking a bit in the whitelisting department, and someone has brought it to my attention that perhaps server staff could help on that matter, so that we can maintain some level of server activity. I think it has a chance at working, as long as we have some sort of guideline in place. The age requirement never really was a dig part of the application process, I just wanted to add a little more than asking for the IGN. Likewise, other information is just there as a way to introduce yourself/your abilities, etc. So, my main thing to avoid for the most part, has been past bans from other servers. Everybody has been given the benefit of the doubt, and one ban won't get one rejected from the joining the server. Now, after that, things are a bit confusing. Using the link I'll provide below, I check every username to see who has been banned in the past, and who hasn't. I don't pay any attention to Glizer, because it doesn't provide any information about the bans, and such. I focus on MCBans, and MCBouncer, and as I have said, one ban on either, isn't an immediate application denial. If they have multiple bans, I look to see what type of ban it was. If I see multiple bans for griefing, they'll be denied. Multiple bans, but 1 for griefing, and others just as "imported local ban" or the like, I will approve, because they are often servers that have transferred over and are just adding the banned players from before. I have occasionally come across "spambot" as a reason as well, and haven't actually denied any applications for that. Finally, if there is a ban on both MCBans and MCBouncer, I double check that they aren't the same ban before making my decision, as it has come up occasionally. So, a general rule of thumb, 1 ban = approve, 2 bans = approve if 1 or less listed as griefing. Regardless of the reason for the ban, if it gets to 3+, I don't approve, as the benefit of the doubt no longer has much reason to hold. I use http://whitelist.mcf.li/ to check the bans for every username that applies, and ask that, if you feel you'd like to help with this, you check everyone (your friends included) before whitelisting. Once they have been approved, be sure to respond in the Minecraft Forum topic so that they may see, and others may find the server as well. As for the topic itself, in case you've lost it, it is easiest to find in my profile on the Minecraft Forum ( then clicking on topics). Thank you for your time, and your assistance in keeping the server active.
