PostSubject: Communication Off-Game?   Sun Nov 18, 2012 11:33 pm

Hey, ditto here, just wondering if anyone else would be interested to get like a chatroom or sumthing offgame so that if the server is down or sumthing, we can still talk to each other about it. This will help with any problems and should instantly alert people instead of if they think to look in the forums. Something simple like skype, fb group, steam group, mumble or teamspeak should work. If you are not comfterable giving away your real name, birthday etc. i think we can work something out.

Please post any ideas/comments on this topic

On a side note, whos excited for Christmas santa

Skype may work. I also started a Chatting forum for us to chat randomly about things if you want to use that.

I think this is a great idea to be able to communicate off game. On a side note is anyone recording what we do on the server. If someone is we could go to the youtube channel and watch. Also maybe if we all get enough money we could all record. Back on topic maybe we could have a server facebook page and skype group. Just ideas.

It costs nothing to record, or 20 dollars, depending on whether you wish to pirate or buy the recording software of which name I have forgotten goddamit. I already have it and everything. So I'd be happy to start up a youtube channel for the server, we'd just need suggestions on what to put in it. Building viewing? Contests? blagh? Think about it.

Also, mumble costs and skype is too much of a nuisance. I suggest teamspeak, since one server with 16 slots is entirely free and we haven't really gone over the 16 people at once limit yet.

Fraps or Dxtory are both great recording software but neither of them cost 20 dollars. Fraps is around 37.00 and Dxtory is 43.00

Personally in my experiences I find Dxtory to be a better program overall but Fraps is much easier to understand/use.

I think if we do make videos, they should just mainly be LPs.
